A History of Veteran's Day
As a reminder to our veterans, and any active duty personnel that may be attending. When signing the Defense Appropriation Bills for 2008 & 2009, President George Bush enacted changes regarding the rendering of the military hand salute.
Veterans and active duty military in civilian clothes may choose to render the military hand salute instead of the civilian salute when the colors are raised or lowered, are passing in review, or during the playing of the National Anthem.
