Interesting, when Nolan Sunderman resigned as city manager he left out two piecs of info from his letter of resignation. Normally, when an individual at that level resigns from a municipal job they usually state for the record where they are going and what they will be doing. He didn't do that. Shows how much respect (or lack of it) he has for the govrning body AND the people of Shawnee that heave been paying his bloated salary all these years.
Anyway, the employees of the City of Olathe were notified real quick about his new employment. We have a KORA request in to Olathe to get a copy of their internal correspondence announcing his move to that city.
Now, I don't think the Shawnee Mision Post published his entire letter of resignation. It's interesting that his primary reason for leaving is that the vision for Shawnee that the governing body has is not the same as his vision. He needs to learn who works for who when a person is a city manager. Did he ever give any thought to the reason that there were some major changes on the governing body at the last election may have been because the citizens did not like the way the governing body was going. It is a city manager's job to take direction from the governing body. He never really understood that.
