Clinton/Biden Staffer Applauds Trump, Derides Kamala Harris

A former Clinton-era National Security Council staffer broke with his party and heaped praise on President Donald Trump's successful strikes on Iran over the weekend, while remarking former Vice President Kamala Harris would have likely lacked the "courage" to execute such a mission if she were commander-in-chief. 

"I am not a fan of many of Donald Trump‘s actions, but I will speak openly and honestly when he takes bold steps defending America’s interests, as he did tonight," Jamie Metzl, founder of the international social group One Shared World, posted to X on Saturday evening. 

Metzl served on former President Bill Clinton's National Security Counci and was former President Joe Biden's deputy staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and he heaped praise on Trump repeatedly on X over the weekend, while also taking a shot at Harris' lack of "courage and fortitude." 

"But I’m not a blind tribalist and am perfectly comfortable praising President Trump for bold and courageous actions in support of America’s core national interests, as he took last night," Metzl posted to X on Sunday morning. 

"Although I believe electing Kamala Harris would have been better for our democracy, society, and economy, as well as for helping the most vulnerable people in the United States and around the world, I also believe VP Harris would not have had the courage or fortitude to take such an essential step as the president took last night," he added. The Hypocrisy of the Democrats is Nauseating

 OK, there are various Dems that are starting to call for impeachment because of the attack that President Trump launched on Iran's nuclear facilities.

But, these same folks did not say anything when Clinton and Obama did exactly the same thing, or when Hillary Clinton supported those types of actions.

Obama & Biden Sucked Us Into This

 President Trump made a firm decision, showed intestinal fortitude, and sent the "bunker busters" into destroy Iran's nuclear capability.

So, why do I say that Obama and Biden sucked us into this?

It's easy, those two are just about reincarnations of Neville Chamberlain.  If you don't know who he was do a "Google" on him.  His appeasement of the Axis powers was met with jubilation, until the world realized that you cannot appease villains. (edited to correct typo, the word is cannot).

Well, that is what Obama and Biden did.  Oh, according to them, Iran was only going to use nuclear power for peaceful means.  Heck, they even signed an agreement to that effect.  Oh, and they were going to allow inspections.

Well, guess what.  They were on the road to creating a nuclear weapon.  They did not permit the inspections that were supposed to be in depth.  

Trump, in his first term slapped sanctions on Iran, and held back billions of dollars.  Well dear old Joe Biden (or one of his lackeys) released tons of money to Iran.  How do you think Iran got the funds to pursue their nuclear program?  Villains do NOT respect appeasers and those without intestinal fortitude.  They only recognize strength.

Of course, those suffering from TDS will jump all over Trump.  He did what he had to.

Will the people of Iran rise up and toss out the ruling theocracy?  Will Israel bring Iran to its knees.  Will the Ayatollah head for another country to seek sanctuary?

Time will tell.

Did ya see the members of those two groups in their "No Kings" protests on Saturday?  Those who accuse DJT of being an authoritarian?  Those who try to equate MAGA with fascism?

Gotta laugh at the dumb asses and hypocrites.  All that garbage was supported by the political party that anointed a presidential candidate without a vote.  

The power elite must have thought, "How can anyone complain?"  "We're anointing a woman of color!"  Didn't matter that she was probably one of the least qualified to have that position.  Yepper, I'll say it, she was a DEI choice, not an MEI (merit, excellence, intelligence) choice.  Remember her famous comment when asked if she could have, what would she have done differently than Biden?  Her answer:  nothing different.

But then anointing a candidate for the highest office in the land is not authoritarian.  It is not regal. It is not contrary to democratic principles.  Bull$hit.  It is all that.  

The true anti-Americans were on display at those No Kings protests.  And a charter member of HAD has to be Shawnee Ward 2 Councilmember Jeani Quick Murphy who posted support on Facebook for thhose actions.

The Idiots Among Us

Yes, we have idiots among us.  Yesterday was June 14th.  The 250th anniversary of the US Army and there were some folks that thought it was a good idea to go around and protest "no kings".

Let's give those a$$holes a history lesson.  It was June 14th, 1775 that the Continental Army was formed.  I don't think that there was an 18th century Nostradamus who predicted that that army would still be around in 250 years. Or, that the Congress would pass a law and a president would sign it, with a real pen, designating June 14th as a national holiday, Flag Day.  And I don't think there was an oracle back then who predicted that June 14th would also be the birthday of a gentleman by the name of Donald Trump, and that he would become President of the United States.

So what these a$$holes did was to insult the oldest branch of our armed forces, that has all these years fought to preserve and protect their right to peacefully protest (not like the BS in LA and Minneapolis).  Instead of protesting they should have been out there showing respect for the US Army, its current members and all who have gone before them.  And then we get a real dummy, Shawnee Ward 2 Councilmember Jeani Quick Murphy who supports their protests yesterday.  Don't believe me?  All you have to do is click here.  Then scroll down and you'll see her comment supporting that activity.

I watched that parade on TV.  And, I was proud to have served in the US Army for 4 years including a year in Nam.  No, not a combat hero, just one of millions of men and women who served this country for 250 years and continue to serve to this day, and who will continue to serve unless the progressive leftists f&*k things up more than they did the past four years.

The Fertilizer is Hitting the Ventilator

 Everyday, more and more is coming out about how the cover up was in full force regarding Joe Biden's cognitive decline.

Let's use the KISS theory. Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson have recently released a book which details all the shenanigans, cover ups and BS in the Biden administration.  Thompson, who recently received an award from the White House Correspondents Association was very straight in his criticism of himself and his fellow "journalists" for their participation in the cover up of Biden's declining mental acuity.

Tapper has publicly apologized to Lara Trump for his comments from before the 2020 election that her analysis of Biden was fake news.  Whoops, now various members of the legacy media are also backtracking and admitting they did a poor job and that there were all the signs that he was declining.  Even Democratic party officials are now admitting it.

OK folks, who had their finger on the button?  Who signed all those executive orders, pardons, etc.?  With the autopen?  Why did Biden not even recognize George Clooney, a friend for about 15 years at a fund raiser that Clooney threw for him?  Why did Biden need a teleprompter at a private fund raiser?

Now we have money coming from Democratic organizations to fund these "spontaneous" "peaceful" protests in LA and other locations.  Bull shit!!!  They are not spontaneous.  They are not peaceful.  They are well organized, professionally scripted actions.  

The threat to democracy in this country is NOT Donald Trump.  The threat to democracy is the progressive element of the Democratic party.  Those who conspired to use Joe Biden as a frail old man, who didn't know his ass from his elbow to push their socialist, Marxist agenda.  To help in flooding this country with over 12 million illegal immigrants, many with criminal backgrounds.  The ones who orchestrated Biden's release of funds to Iran so that Iran could continue its nuclear build up.  Thank G-d Israel is taking care of that situation.

Here's the kicker.  This garbage with democrats all starts at the local level.  They push to get their America hating candidates into office at city councils, school boards, county commissions, etc.  Then they work to move them up the ladder.

So, even if a local election is non-partisan, there are folks that are affiliated with both major parties.  These folks quite possibly will get financial support from these major parties.  I will make it my goal to expose those democratic party candidates who would destroy our city, county and state.  Every pimple on their butt, wart on their nose, will be held up for the public to see.

Soon we will see that with some questionnaires that I will be working on.

I know, I've been quiet for quite some time.  Health and age are catching up to me, but I have had it with those slimey POS, that would destroy this country.  There truly are legal, non-violent ways to handle them, and that is what I will pursue.

The HAD Group is Showing Their True Colors

 Regarding my previous post, HAD stands for Hypocrites Against Democracy.

These are the folks who kept screaming that Trump would destroy democracy in this country.

Now, let's look at recent events.  We see individuals physically attacking Tesla dealerships with firebombs and bullets.  We see destruction of those vehicles.  We see and hear various Democratic party elected persons refrain from condemning these acts of violence but in many cases egging them on.  We see and hear many of these folks actively encouraging violence against elected and appointed Republican members of the government.

This is not democracy to perform these acts.  These activities are definitely threats to our democracy.  These are the actions of sore losers.  Yes, sore losers.  They cannot accept the fact that the American people got fed up with the lies and BS that they have been tossing around.  They cannot accept the fact that the American people were sick and tired of inflation, border insecurity and various left win programs like defund the police, DEI, the teaching of CRT, etc.  They cannot accept the fact that they had large numbers of ethnic minorities switch sides because they were tired of being pandered to by a group that was acting like a bunch of benevolent parents (do what we say and we'll take care of you).

Speaking of lies that the Democrats have fostered on the American public, every day more info is coming out on how they, with the complicity of the mainstream media covered up Joe Biden's mental decline.  Many members of that media are now admitting they should have been more forthright about what was happening.

Here is a classic example on how the two groups differ on how to handle items that they disagree with.  This is a statement attributed to Rep. Adamson McDowell (R-NC): 

"when we boycotted Bud Light over their support over these radical issues, we didn’t just say, ‘We’re going to burn down Bud Light manufacturers.’ We just didn’t buy it." "What you see these woke, radical liberals doing to a car they used to want championed, is lighting them on fire, destroying property, that’s not how adults behave," McDowell said, adding, "they’re behaving like criminals."

Going forward, if an individual runs for office, and if they are a democrat, or have accepted funds from various democratic party organizations, even if the race is a non-partisan one, I will do anything and everything I can legally do to expose every wart on their nose, every pimple on their butt, and every action that is hypocritical.

Two New Organizations - DASA & HAD

 I've been too quiet for too long.

It's time to announce the formation of two new organizations:

DASA-Dumb Ass Society of America

HAD-Hypocrites Against Democracy

Let's start with DASA:  For the various members of Congress who have railed against Elon Musk as being an unelected billionaire, doing what he has been doing.  It is obvious that they do not understand the difference between the USC and the CFR.  As a matter of fact I'd bet that most Americans also don't know the difference.  The USC (United States Code) are the bills passed by Congress and signed into law by a President.  The CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) are all of those regulations that have been promulgated by entrenched, career bureaucrats, who BTW are also unelected individuals.  Not necessarily billionaires, but still unelected.  These are the folks that have come up with the regulations, among many others, that look to control what kitchen appliances you can buy.  Some regulations serve a positive function, such as the frequency and extent of physical examinations for airline pilots.  Others are a bunch of nonsense, costly to the American public and businesses.

Moving on to HAD:  These are mostly the whining, crying, Democrats.  Many of which are senior members of the US Senate and House of Representatives.  These are the folks who have for years bemoaned the use of violence to achieve political goals.  Yet, these are the same folks who have not spoken up to condemn the outrageous criminal acts (many of which are life threatening) that are being perpetrated against Tesla owners, dealerships, etc.  Setting vehicles on fire, shooting at the windows of car dealerships are NOT acts of democracy.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the greatest threats to our democracy are these hypocritical Democrats.  Anybody wanna talk about the use of the "auto-pen" to sign Joe Biden's name to official documents?  Who had been running the government during his inept, mentally challenged years?  Yes, during the same years that these folks were covering up for his inability to function in a coherent manner.  These are the hypocrites who are the real threat to democracy as we know it.  The same folks that are doxing Tesla vehicle owners.  Or folks like US Congresswoman Crockett who has put out the call to take violent action against Elon Musk.

BTW, our Mayor, Mickey "The Mouse" Sandifer should be a charter member of HAD.  Especially when he said he doesn't have to answer to a citizen of Shawnee. (it's in the minutes of a council meeting).

This Ain't Snow

 That's what my son and daughter-in-law said about what we are experiencing today.

They came in last night from Sault Ste-Marie, Michigan (about 1-1/2 miles from Sault Ste-Marie, Ontario, Canada).

By the end of January they had 136.5 inches for the winter so far, and just before they left "The Soo" the number had gone well over 159.8.

According to them, schools were only closed one day because of freezing rain.  Snow does not stop the kids from getting an education.

When they left there they still had over 3 feet of snow piled in their yard.  The picture below is of a snowbank near their house.  Look at how high the snow is up the pole for the yield sign.

History In The Making - Chiefs vs Eagles - Super Bowl LIX

 

The world is watching.  Having won two Super Bowls in a row the KC Chiefs are playing tomorrow for an unprecedented threepeat.  The fact that they are playing tomorrow is, in and of itself historical.  No other team has ever had the chance to even try to threepeat.  If they win it, that will just add to the historical aspect of the event.

Thousands of eyes will be on Mahomes, Hurts, Kelce, Barkley and many other excellent players on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

I have just two questions;  First, what strange, different and never before seen plays will Andy Reid have conjured up in his book of magic to completely confuse the Eagles?  Second, what different and never before seen plays will Steve Spagnuolo have drawn up to stop the Eagles? Specifically, what is up his sleeve to stop the "tush push"?

My predictions:

Chiefs 37 (4-TDs  one by the defense or special teams,  3-FGs)

Eagles  27 (3-TDs  2-FGs)

For the Swifties who will be watching, no, Kelce will not propose to Taylor on the field after the game.  It will happen within 60 days of the game.

Trump is Winning, and In Less Than Two Weeks

 The naysayers and those that still attempt to vilify President Trump still haven't learned the realities of what positive actions he is capable of.

He threatened to take back the Panama Canal.  Hmm, it didn't take long for the President of Panama to reverse his country's stand regarding the Chinese actions on the canal.  The result will be substantially reduce costs to our shipping (commercial and military) that needs to traverse the canal.  Remember, we built that baby at a considerable cost not just in dollars but in lives.

When Colombia refused to let planes returning illegal migrants to their homeland land, Trump put it to them.  What happened?  They are now assisting in transporting those illegals back to Colombia.

The naysayers said that Trump was wrong for threatening Mexico with increased tariffs.  Whoops, what happened?  The President of Mexico has now committed to sending 10,000 Mexican troops to their side of the border to assist in controlling illegal migrants and to put some heavy controls on the exportation of Fentanyl into out country.  We have lost too many of our citizens to the illegal drug trade.

MAGA means America First.  We will see a rebounding economy, more homegrown manufacturing, and a reduction in wasteful spending.

Speaking of wasteful spending, the numbers now show that the City of Chicago alone has spent over $629 million dollars from 2022-2024 on illegal immigrants.  That is housing, food, clothing, medical care, schools, cash benefits, etc. etc. etc..  Yet, they don't have funds for their own citizens for these items.  And they want federal help. Where does the federal help come from?  From the citizens of this country who work and pay taxes, and who can't get help when needed.  That $629 million could have been better spent (and probably in a lower amount) to improve the life, health and welfare of the citizens of Chicago.  Now, just multiply that by all of the other "sanctuary" jurisdictions (NY, Calif., Washington State and others).

House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries has called his party and followers to fight Donald Trump "in the streets".  Gee, guess he really doesn't want to see this country become great again.

Trump has done more in two weeks to bring us back than Biden did in four years.  Actually, Biden has destroyed much of this country.

BTW, why do leaders of Mexico, Colombia, Panama and other countries listen to Trump and are willing to pay heed to what he says?  Because Trump has something that Joe Biden never had. A pair of metallic based lower anatomical spherical appendages.+

UPDATED 2/3/25 2130 HOURS:

Hot news!!  Canada has now agreed to a $1.3 Billion plan to have its military, with additional helicopter, intelligence and tech support to assist on its side of the northern border.  They are committing to sending 10,000 of their troops to control illegal immigrants from crossing over and to perform interdiction with regards to drug and human trafficking.  And again, the naysayers and those suffering from TDS attempted to excoriate Trump for his statements.  

 

"I Don't Have To Answer To You" Mayor Mickey "Julius Caesar" Sandifer

 That's what he said to me at last Monday's city council meeting.  At one point he even suggested that I go back to school.  Heck, if anybody needs to go back to school it is the mayor. He does have to answer to me, and, to any citizen of Shawnee.  We don't work for him.  He works for us.  Somebody needs to print out a copy of the city's organization chart and show it to this imbecile.  The citizens of Shawnee are at the top of the chart and the mayor is subservient to them.

What prompted this?

1. Shortly after the new council began its term Sandifer appointed W2 Councilperson Murphy to the Downtown Partnership.  This is a position that traditionally does go to a W2 council member.

2.  Councilmember Gillette inquired how come Sandifer was appointing a brand new council person as opposed to the other W2 individual, Dr. Mike Kemmling.

3. Sandifer stated because Murphy "had sent me a request and Kemmling did not"

4. I submitted an open records request for any emails between Sandifer/Murphy regarding that subject.

5. The city denied the request saying those records were exempt.  I went back and forth with the city attorney on her interpretation of state law.

6. I filed a KORA complaint with the Kansas Attorney General.  It took quite a long time to get a response, but I finally received the AG's finalization, via snail mail, on Saturday 1/25/25.

7.  The AG's office indicated that they had instructed the city to comply with my request.  (Did I interpret state law more accurately than the city attorney?)  They then indicated that the city advised them that there were no emails, so, there was no KORA violation.

8.  No emails.

9. So on Monday 2/3/25, I spoke at council and indicated that it appeared that the mayor was a liar.  And, if that being the case, then Murphy could have been considered to have been "lying by omission".  (Looks it up, it's an interesting concept).

10.  I informed the mayor that if the emails were done using his personal email that that would be a no-no for doing city business.  But if that was the case he needed to produce the emails within 48 hours.  And that was when he said he didn't have to answer to me.  Along with comments that there were other methods that the request could have been communicated (verbal).  

11.  His choice of words at the 2/12/24 council meeting that she had sent him a request was clear.  If it had been verbal the common expression would have been something to the effect of "she called me and asked or she spoke with me in the office and asked".

12.  This imbecile really feels that he doesn't have to answer to a citizen.  His pseudo dictatorial comments will come back and bite him on his posterior.

Predictions for 2025

 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Guess I'm gonna have to layout my predictions for the coming year.  Why not?  Other folks do it.

• Trump brokers a peace deal between Ukraine & Russia, , within 6 months of taking office (needless to say I'm a firm believer that if Trump had been in the WH, Russia would never have started this thing).
• Trump brokers a peace deal between Israel & Hamas, also within 6 months.
• Trump gets his tax packages thru congress and the average American sees more in their take home pay, inflation starts nosediving, businesses thrive, and the cost of doing business drops because he gets rid of a bunch of restrictive regulations.  He will also get rid of a bunch of restrictive regulations that impede the lifestyles and wallets of America's citizens.  Watch gas prices at the pump take a big drop.
• More Shawnee citizens will become aware of what kind of a lying BS artist Mayor Mickey "The Mouse" Sandifer is.
• Will the Nieman branch of the USPS finally close down and will a developer come in and put in a mid range to upscale eatery?  Possibly, if another location can be found for the post office.  Maybe do what other cities have done:  a mini facility in a shopping center.
• Unfortunately, that eyesore old shopping center at 75th & Quivira does not move forward under the new ownership.  Something pops up and the project gets stalled.  (Hope this prediction does not come true).
• We experience a mild winter here in Shawnee and an extremely comfortable summer.  More poeple (residents and non-residents) take advantage of our swimming pools.
• The Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl and become the first NFL team to threepeat.  Travis & Taylor get married before next year's NFL pre-season and the pending arrival of a future tight end or pop singer is announced.
• Both the Chiefs and Royals finalize plans to relocate to the Village West area of KCK (mistakenly referred to as The Legends, that's the shopping center).
• We see one member of the Shawnee governing body resign before the expiration of their term in 2027.

Did You Blacklist Your Relatives for the Holidays?

Crazy question, eh?  Well, now that Thanksgiving and Christmas are both over, it seems appropriate to ask that question.

 Why?  Easy!!  After the election, with Trump's resounding victory there were many folks including academics, psychologists, and bunches of talk show hosts who said it would be ok to tell any of your relatives who voted for Trump that they were not welcome at your home for the holidays.

Ouch, what ever happened to the calls for unity from these lying SOBs?  I have yet to meet a family that did not have major disagreements.  Be it politics, sports, movies, food, education, ad infinitum.  Yet, they were able to sit down and enjoy each other's company and love for the holidays.  These arrogant, SOBs that were preaching that folks should basically disown their relatives for having a differing political point of view are the types that are the real threats to democracy.  In other words they say "either think like us or forget that you are family".  What a crappy attitude.  Personally, I think it's healthy for family members to have opposing views on differing subjects.  That way they can discuss those views, like adults, and exchange information and ideas.  Not act like spoiled, rotten brats who fly into a tantrum because they don't get their way.  Or who are so emotionally immature that they can't go to work or school because of the election result.  What would these wimp asses do if they witnessed a really traumatic event?  Like seeing a relative mangled and dead in a car accident?  Or a buddy killed on the battlefield?

Can you just imagine how much fertilizer would have hit the ventilator if the reverse happened? What if folks were told to ignore their family members who voted for Biden?  Or Obama? What a crappy attitude of these sanctimonious hypocrites who went around shouting "unity".

Let's talk immigration.  All of these sanctuary cites/states are going to be in a world of hurt.  Let's use the AG in Arizona, a democrat, who is vowing to fight Trump and the incoming administration on deportations.  Here's the deal. Trump flipped Arizona to red this election.  Doesn't that tell that dummy that the people of her state favor his proposed actions and not hers? Next, there are various laws on the books under the U.S.C. which, as federal law, take precedence over any state and/or city law.  Some of them make it illegal to harbor illegal immigrants.  Others make it a crime to interfere with a federal law enforcement officer.  Remember the recent statement by the mayor of Denver that he would rather go to jail than to allow the deportations to happen in his city.  Tom Homan said he'd be happy to make that man's dream come true

Anybody else out there as pissed as I am about the reactions of Democrats to Donald Trump winning the election?

The day after the election, various governors and mayors announced that they would fight him on everything he wanted to do.  Boy, will those idiots look foolish when he brings back the economy, controls inflation, makes great strides towards world peace, firms up our democracy, controls illegal immigration, reduces the bureaucracy and regulations that have a negative impact on all businesses especially the small businesses and brings back respect to our country from other nations.

Idiots, like the restaurants in DC that have vowed not to serve members of his administration.  Wow, what would have happened if the reverse had taken place four years ago?  Hah, those idiots scream about unity.  That's all BS on their part.  Look what they are doing to Joe & Mika from the Morning Joe show.  Well, they went to Mar-A-Logo to talk with Trump.  Now their fellow liberals are eating them alive.  

The Wall Street Journal just ran an article about a report that they compiled.  It seems that the White House staff, other members of the administration, and members of Congress, witnessed Joe Biden's decline, both mentally and physically.  All within months of him taking the oath.  But they hid it.  And it got worse, until after the debate with Trump they couldn't cover for him any longer.  Remember how the WH press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, would respond that talk about Biden's decline was Republican misinformation?  Heck, she was there.  Same goes for Kamala Harris and the Cabinet who had a Constitutional obligation and a legal procedure on how to handle it.  They didn't.  They lied to this country.  They lied about job growth numbers, they lied about crime statistics. And they have yet to apologize en masse for helping to push the discredited Steele dossier.  You remember that one.  The one that all the folks "in the know" said confirmed that Trump was an agent of Russia.  Didn't matter that that was a lie bought and paid for by HRC and the DNC.  The same group who said the Hunter laptop was a lie and Russian disinformation and wow, they were wrong on that one.  Even the NY Times had to back track on that one, albeit four years overdue.

And what about the media?  MSNBC (aka MSDNC), ABC, CNN, et al.  Their viewership is tanking by 50% or more in many cases.  And yes, FOX news is outdoing most of them combined.  Why? If you watch or visit their web site, they do truly present balanced info.  What about the racist on line story tellers.  Ya know, like Joy Reid who said that Latino men who supported Trump have a slave mentality.  Or what about Sunny Hostin who claimed that "uneducated white women voted for Trump".  Would the fertilizer have hit the ventilator if that had been turned around and stated differently?

Oh, and let's not forget identity politics.  You know, where you are told to vote for someone only because they are of a certain gender or ethnicity, not their qualifications.  Time to completely eliminate DEI and implement MEI (merit, excellence, intelligence).

Where do I stand on certain issues?:

1.  Female sports for biological females, not some guy who says he identifies as female.  And damn it, get them the hell out of female bathrooms, locker rooms and showers.

2.  No transgender treatment, surgery or any related items without parental consent, regarding minors.  Once someone turns 18, heck that is their decision to make hopefully after they weigh the facts and consequences.

3.  Get teachers at all levels, elementary, high school, college, back to the task of education NOT indoctrination.  

4.  Those who shout "death to America" who are here illegally, if their home country is soooo much better, send them back immediately.

5.  Finish building the border wall.  Start the deportations.  Increase the size of the courts responsible for the deportation hearings so that these folks don't go into hiding for 5-10 years.

6.  Withdraw our membership from any organization that we belong to where we are overpaying our dues and others are either not paying or underpaying what they owe (UN, NATO, etc,)

Council Gets it Right - Short Term Rentals

 At last night's council meeting there was a public hearing to discuss the possible revocation or suspension of the license for a short term rental.  This was an AirBNB located in the northeast section of the city.

Last February the council passed ordinances which tightened up the licensing requirements and provided for penalties for units that did not comply.  This unit, rather than being used by a single family on a vacation was becoming a mini hotel, and disruptive to the residential neighborhood.  Non-family related work crews were coming in and causing a variety of problems.

Citations were issued and after postponements by the owner's attorney a trial was held in municipal court.  The ownership did plead guilty to a variety of charges and fines were levied.  The kicker though was that 1/2 of the fines were suspended for 12 months as long as no other violations occurred.  

Personally I thought the judge's action stunk, and said so when I addressed the council.  They established the laws for the operation of short term rentals and the penalties in those ordinances were being ignored to a certain degree.  Action needed to be taken to show that if people were going to operate short term rentals, in residential neighborhoods, that they had to abide by the city's code.  

All members of the council present and voting, voted to revoke the license effective 1/1/2025.

Denver Blows $356 Million on Illegals - How to Recoup Those Funds

 Looks like the city of Denver has blown $356 million on illegal migrants which is over 8% of its budget as per this article.

NYC is also taking big hits, as are many other cities and states.  Federal funding has been used in many cases for various things related to the illegals.Now here's the deal.  As I have previously mentioned, these sanctuary cities and states do not have any money.  It's all taxpayer money.  People pay taxes for services (PD, Fire, water, wastewater, roads, bridges, schools, medical, etc.).  

So, here is my proposed solution:

1. Citizens need to stand up and take the necessary legal action to prevent any and all sanctuary cities, states & the federal government, from using public funds for anything related to illegal migrants (one exception:  a one way bus/plane ticket back to their country of origin).

2.  Those individuals (governors/mayors/other electeds/and private citizens) who are in favor of "taking care" of these illegals need to form an organization.  It can't be a non-profit though.  And then all these cry babies can start contributing to that organization and use those funds for the illegals  They can start with soliciting donations from those that contributed the $1.5 billion to the Harris campaign and implore them to duplicate those contributions with the new organization. They would also need to be required to start taking 10% of the donations that they receive and paying back the taxpayers of those cities and states by sending the monies to those entities treasuries.  But again, it would have to be a non-profit.  Don't want those donors to take tax write offs.  Methinks that the Biden and Harris families should be major contributors to the organization.  Especially since "the big guy" made a small fortune from his son's influence peddling schemes.  Additionally, those mayors, governors, and all elected officials who have promoted their entities as being sanctuaries should be required to take a 20% reduction in their compensation and have that turned over the organization, in addition to any other funds that they may contribute.

3.  Also, all of these folks who believe in taking care of these illegals should be required to house, clothe, feed and also take care of any of their medical needs until such time that they have been returned to their home countries.  I'd love to see a couple of dozen of these illegals camping out in Gracie Mansion, or possibly the NY State Executive Mansion, or even Cableland, just to name a few.
