National Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed annually on March 29 in the United States. It is a national observance that recognizes veterans who served in the US military during the Vietnam War.
On March 28, 2017, President Trump signed the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017. This act officially recognizes March 29 as National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
And yet, our illustrious mayor did not issue any kind of proclamation acknowledging this. At least our council president, Eric Jenkins, COL, USA (Ret.) mentioned it at the last council meeting.
