Dr. Mike Kemmling has proven to be a true advocate for the people of his ward and the city. A strong supporter of reducing taxes, monitoring corporate incentives and making life better for the citizens of Shawnee.
As a small business owner and a family man (he and his wife Chris have 5 children), Mike knows what it takes to survive in this world. And it doesn't include raising taxes, as his opponent is backed by a political party that pushes raising taxes at every possible opportunity. Keep in mind that with Mike on the council, the city has seen two years of tax reductions, two years of holding the line and a reserve account that far exceeds the recommended guidelines. Mike is also a firm believer in taking the moral high ground and standing up for traditional values.
I've gotta laugh that his opponent is touting the endorsement of Mickey "The Mouse" Sandifer and Jeff "Mr. Nepotism" Meyers, with their claims that it is a non-partisan endorsement. They forget that Eric Persson is being pushed by the Democratic party, and both of them rally behind other Democratic party candidates.
