Will Trump Invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota to Send in Federal Troops?

There has been talk that President Trump might invoke the Insurrection Act and direct federal troops to go to Minneapolis.  Reports are that the 11th Airborne Division - Arctic has been put on alert for the possibility of approximately 1,500 troops to deploy.

Fifteen Presidents have invoked the Insurrection Act (some on multiple occasions).  The six most recent Presidents to do so (for eleven events) are listed below.  Curious, would the a$$hole liberal left call FDR, JFK & LBJ nazis and fascists?  Note, that on various occasions, state governors had activated the National Guard, for opposite reasons. The President federalized them, then ordered them to stand down, and brought in the federal troops.

The list is below:

Franklin D. Roosevelt

September 23, 1957

Per Greg Jarrett:  Uninformed critics erroneously assert that Trump is barred from acting by the Posse Comitatus Act, which prohibits the use of federal troops for policing on domestic soil. This is a frivolous argument since the Insurrection Act is a well-established exception to Posse Comitatus.

Why Wasn't Local Law Enforcement Involved?

A reader of this blog emailed me with come comments.  In particular he mentioned that shouldn't it have been local PD in Minneapolis controlling the crowd?

The simple answer is, yest, it should have been local PD.  But they work for a government (city and state) that consider themselves a sanctuary location.  Their mayor and governor side with illegal immigrants.  The local PD should have been there to arrest every individual in the crowd that threw objects at the ICE personnel, that sent firecrackers to the ICE personnel, that weaponized their vehicle against ICE.  Peaceful protests are one thing, demonstrators that commit crimes should be arrested by the local PD and charged accordingly.  Maybe, the shooting could have been avoided if the local PD had been released to do their job and enforce crowd contril measures.  But, when you have a mayor, a governor and other government officials ramping up the rhetoric these kinds of things will happen.

TDS Has Cooked Their Brains

The liberal left wing of this country is so deeply immersed with TDS that it has definitely cooked their brains.

Let's take a look at Minnesota and the recent protests and the shootings.

Can people gather to protest?  Yes

Can people march in protest? Yes

Can people carry signs in protest?  Yes

Can people speak in protest?  Yes

Can people chant and/or sing in protest?  Yes

Can people impede traffic in protest?  No

Can people throw physical objects at law enfocement in protest?  No

Can people set off and direct fireworks at protests?  No

Can people use their vehicles as weapons at protests?  No

Can people physically strike law enforcement at protests?  No

The demosnstrations in Minneapolis are NOT peaceful protests.  Ironically, the LEO if the feds had to be biting their tongues and hikding back what they could have done days ago.  These protesters don't want to accept the truth that persons here illegaly are breaking the law.  Add to that , that many of them are criminals for other reasons, well who in their right mind would want them in this country?

When has Mayor Frey, Governor Walz or any other high profile Dem leader stood a vigil, spoken out, or shown any type of concern for those Minnesotans who have  been killed and raped by illegals.  Check it out, the answer is never.

Just to lightly touch on the financial side, how many billions of dollars have been expended to house, clothe, feed and provide medical services to those illegal aliens.  Anybody check the law?  It is a requirement that someone wanting to live here has to be able to show that they will not be dependent on government hand outs.  The liberal left is crying about Medicare, Social Security, SNAP etc.  Wipe those crocodile tears you dumb SOBs.  Look where the money has been spent, and we won't even talk about the fraud at this point.

How does that affect us here in Shawnee?  Easy, our taxes are part of the pool that has been espended having these criminals here.  Deportation.  Simple one word answer.

Wanna have some fun.  Ask those 7 liberal wonks on out city council if they support the protesters in Minneapolis.  Bet you won't get a definitive answer, but rather a Kamal Harris type of word salad.

The Hypocrites Are At It Again

The two posts below are right on.  they show the true hypocrisy if the liberal Democrats in this country.

They both said exactly what was on my mind.

This was posted on line by a Terence Williams on 1/9/26.

THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING: It’s incredible how selective some people are about outrage.
When Laken Hope Riley was brutally attacked and killed by an illegal immigrant, Democrat leaders didn’t call for marches, protests, or policy changes.
When 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was assaulted and murdered by two illegal immigrants, not a single major Democrat voice demanded deportations or accountability.
When mother of five Rachel Morin was tragically killed, again by someone who should not have been in this country, there was no national call from Democrat politicians for justice or reform.
When Dacara Thompson was assaulted and thrown from a bridge by an illegal immigrant, the silence from Democrat leadership was the same.
No statements.
No rallies.
No urgent policy push.
No labeling these criminals for what they were.
Yet suddenly, when an unhinged activist strikes an ICE agent with her car, we’re told to treat her like a victim and ignore the danger she posed. Some of these same voices are now lecturing everyone about law enforcement and morality.
If you hit an officer with a 4,000-plus pound vehicle—like Renee Nicole Good did—that vehicle becomes a deadly weapon. Officers are fully justified in defending themselves.
People see the double standard. The selective outrage. The moral grandstanding that only appears when it fits a political narrative.
That’s the real problem—and everyone knows it.

And then this by a Janet Elaine Parks on 1/8/26

LET’S GET UNCOMFORTABLY HONEST ABOUT ICE …AND THE MEDIA LIES
At this point, the way ICE is portrayed by the media is no longer journalism.
It’s fear-mongering …and it’s reckless…
We are watching a federal law enforcement agency be deliberately caricatured as:
• “Terrorists”
• “Nazis”
• “Kidnappers”
• “Rogue militias snatching people off the street”
That narrative is false, dangerous, and it has real-world consequences…
ICE agents are not vigilantes…
They are not kidnapping random citizens…
They are not operating outside the law….
They are executing federal warrants, enforcing immigration law passed by Congress, and operating under strict use-of-force and engagement rules…
They are doing their job…
But the media is counting on one thing:
👉 that people won’t actually watch the full video..
👉 that they won’t slow it down..
👉 that they won’t read primary sources..
👉 that they’ll just react emotionally to a headline..
Because outrage gets clicks…
If you watch the entire video of this recent incident in Minneapolis… and not a clipped headline version …the narrative collapses…
This was not an innocent woman “randomly shot by ICE”
This was:
✔️ a federal enforcement operation..
✔️ repeated commands given by agents
✔️ a driver who chose not to comply
✔️ a vehicle used in a way officers reasonably perceived as a deadly threat..
Under U.S. law, a vehicle is legally considered a deadly weapon when used against officers…
That’s not opinion…That’s established legal precedent…
⚖️ THE HARD TRUTH PEOPLE DON’T WANT TO FACE..
When politicians and media figures:
• call ICE “Nazis”
• label agents “fascists”
• encourage interference with enforcement
• normalize blocking, surrounding, or confronting agents
They create an environment of escalation…
You don’t get to demonize law enforcement for years, rile up activists, tell people they’re morally justified in obstructing federal agents…and then act shocked when encounters turn dangerous…
Words matter.
Rhetoric matters.
Leadership matters.
And yes …responsibility matters.
🚨 ABOUT TODAY’S TRAGEDY..
A life was lost.
That is tragic. Period.
But pretending this happened in a vacuum is dishonest…
The stress, hostility, threats, and chaos ICE agents face right now are not accidental…they are the product of years of political demonization and media gaslighting…
Shame on the left wing media and democratic leaders for creating that narrative…
ICE agents operate under far more restraint than most people realize..especially considering:
• the constant threats
• the surrounding mobs
the interference
• the disinformation campaigns targeting them
Frankly, it’s surprising incidents like this haven’t happened more often….
That’s not because ICE is reckless …it’s because they’ve shown extraordinary restraint in an increasingly volatile environment…
📌 FINAL REALITY CHECK
You can oppose immigration policy.
You can criticize enforcement priorities.
You can advocate for reform.
What you cannot do is:
❌ lie about what ICE does..
❌ incite hostility toward federal agents..
❌ pretend obstruction is “peaceful protest”
❌ ignore video evidence when it doesn’t fit your narrative..
And you don’t get to smear law enforcement as monsters …then blame them when chaos follows…
This death didn’t happen because of ICE…
It happened because truth has been replaced with propaganda…
Faith. Family. Freedom
