Local Charity Needs Help

I received the email below from Teresa McGarry who I have known for many years.

If you can help her in any way I know it would be appreciated.  Thank you.

"Hi there,

Hope you are doing well.  Our family is doing okay.  I have been focusing on a few large Moneytalk tasks since I have the time, doing online coaching, and trying to figure out how I can help.  As part of working with two elementary schools through the Caring for Kids program (which gets the community involved in supporting the local schools), I am coordinating the school supplies for these kiddos including using my ability to purchase in bulk at a discount as a non-profit.

We are targeting $50 per student to provide school supplies and backpacks to the 1,000+ students at Neiman elementary and Shawanoe elementary schools.  Both of these schools are right here in Shawnee and are both very low income families (both are Title 1 schools.)  According to the teachers and principals, they are concerned about families becoming homeless or having utilities disconnected once the prevention orders are lifted.  They aren't going to be able to afford school supplies, let alone shoes, school shirt, yearbooks, and food on the weekends.

Would you share this in your blog for me?  More info can be found on my website at  https://moneytalkff.org/support/fundraisers/school-supply-drive/  or go straight to the GoFundMe Charity page at https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/school-supply-drive3.  They can also donate online or mail a check.  It is posted on our Facebook page https://business.facebook.com/MoneytalkFinancialFoundations/ pinned as the top post.  All donations will receive a charitable donation receipt as Moneytalk is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Thank you and God Bless,

Teresa McGarry (Founder, Executive Director)

Support the non-profit by shopping through Amazon Smile.  Check out Charity Lists, it is a registry of items needed by the non-profit.  They will pay the shipping directly to us and it still counts toward your smile donation!"

Lindsey Constance -Does She Purposely Mislead or is She a Flat Out Liar?

Here is a screen shot of a post by Lindsey Constance, Ward IV, City of Shawnee council rep.

Now here is a section of the RMS audit which was published with other documents in the agenda:

Still trying to figure out her definition of "clean".  When ending balances don't match with opening balances?  And, she was one of the five that voted for the city manager's raise prior to this being on the agenda.  But this info must have been known prior to that vote, and he is responsible for those directors under him.

Anyway, does she mislead or is she just a liar?  And she also wants to be your state senator.

Oh, if you have trouble reading the info in the images click on them for larger copies.

I served under it.
I stand for it.
I presented it to the mother of a GI who was KIA in Nam
I salute it
